What you will see
A four-hour guided walk through Valencia's old town that combines history and food. The route takes you on foot through streets and buildings from different periods, from Roman remains to Mudéjar, Gothic and Baroque architecture, with stops at the Church of San Nicolás de Bari and San Pedro Mártir. Afterwards, you will have a menu of ten tapas paired with local wines, served in a restaurant housed within 11th-century walls.
Important: the tour is conducted in English. If you are not confident in that language, we recommend looking at other guided visits of the city centre.
Cost
€80 per adult, with tapas and wine included. Children under 5 do not pay. Bear in mind that a significant part of the price covers the food: if you already have plans for lunch or dinner, a guided tour without tasting may be better value.
Opening hours
Two departures daily, at 10:00 and 13:30. Available dates are chosen when you book.
How to get there
The meeting point is at plaça de Sant Jaume, 1, in Ciutat Vella, a few minutes' walk from plaça de la Virgen and the Cathedral. The entire route is on foot through the centre, so you do not need transport between stops. If you arrive by metro or bus, any line that stops at plaça del Ayuntamiento or Colón will get you there: from there it is a few minutes' walk.
How long it takes and when to go
- Allow four hours, including the meal.
- The 13:30 departure is at lunchtime: we recommend that if you want the tapas to serve as your lunch.
- Wear comfortable shoes: the walk is entirely on foot.
- If there is any food you cannot eat, check before booking: the tapas menu is set.
