What you will see
San Nicolás de Bari y San Pedro Mártir is a Gothic church in Valencia's historic centre. Centuries after its construction, the interior was covered with Baroque frescoes painted by Dionís Vidal from designs by Antonio Palomino. The frescoes cover the entire vault of the nave, which is why it is known as the "Capilla Sixtina valenciana" (Valencia's Sistine Chapel). It remains an active parish with masses and organ concerts.
Standard admission includes an audioguide in Spanish, Valencian, English, Italian and French, and the experience "La luz de San Nicolás": interactive screens, digital stained glass windows and videomapping that illuminates the vault with light and music.

- Admission with audioguide and immersive experience: €16 online and €18 at the ticket office. Reduced: €13 online and €15 at the ticket office.

October to June: Tue–Fri 10:30–19:00, Sat 10:00–19:00, Sun 13:00–20:00. July, August and September: Tue–Fri 10:30–20:00, Sat 10:00–19:30, Sun 11:00–20:00. No tourist visits on Mondays. Last admission is one hour before closing.
Getting there
The entrance is at calle Caballeros, 35-B, in the Carmen neighbourhood, within Ciutat Vella. From plaza de la Virgen or from the Lonja (the old silk exchange) it is a few minutes' walk through the centre streets, which is the most convenient way to get around this area.
How long you need and when to go
- As it is an active parish, tourist visits share the space with worship: we recommend not coming during Mass times and checking the schedule on the official website.
- Buying your ticket online is €2 cheaper than at the ticket office.
- If you also want to see Santos Juanes, which is a few minutes' walk away next to Mercat Central, check the combined admission option.
