What you will see

A three-hour guided walking tour of Valencia's historic centre with a professional live guide and entrance included to three of the most visited monuments in Ciutat Vella:

  • The Lonja de la Seda, the civil Gothic building where silk trade was negotiated, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • San Nicolás church, with its barrel vault covered in Baroque frescoes.
  • the Cathedral of Santa María, which blends Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque in its three doorways.

Between one monument and another, the tour is on foot through the streets of the old town. It does not include transport or entrance to other buildings.

The difference from going on your own is the narrative: a guide explains how a commercial building, a parish church and the archbishop's seat fit together in the city's history, something that is hard to see on their own. If you are interested in only one of the three, it works out cheaper to visit it by yourself.

How much it costs

The tour costs €45 per adult (from age 13) and €17.50 for children aged 7 to 12. The price includes all three entrances and the guide. If you prefer to go on your own, our entry on San Nicolás church has its price and opening hours.

Opening hours

There are two tours a day, at 10:00 and 16:30. Available dates are selected when you book.

How to get there

All three monuments are in Ciutat Vella, just a few minutes' walk from each other, and the tour ends in the city centre.

How long you need and when to go

  • Allow about three hours.
  • It runs in Spanish, English, French and Italian: check the language of your tour when you book.
  • In summer, we recommend the 10:00 tour: much of the route is outdoors.
